I'm a Morehouse Man (almost!)

On Friday, June 13th, 2014 I was invited to the campus of Morehouse College. I went there to speak to the participants, parents, staff and directors of the YES Camp. This camp is for rising high school juniors and seniors who have aspirations of becoming entrepreneurs The camp is sponsored by the Morehouse College Entrepreneurship Center. This year the camp's focus was using science and technology to solve world problems.  I went their to speak to them about thinking and dreaming big and to offer them some suggestions on things to do once they decide to start their own business. After speaking, I served my ice cream and popsicles to everyon there. Before going to Morehouse College I learned that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. graduated from Morehouse College.  I was extremely honored and humbled to walk on the same grounds as this great Civil Rights leader.  I want to thank Dr. Tiffany Bussey and Ms. Bonita Moore for making it possible for me to have this great experience!

Before speaking we listened as the campers and their capstones were introduced. The winners were announced later.

I was a little nervous when I started speaking but I soon relaxed.

Camp participants received their certificates and awards

Ice cream time for everyone!

The Turbo Rocket is popular today!

I met this nice parent and she is now a big supporter.  I'm sorry I did not have the Screwball.

Dr. Tiffany Bussey (left) and the Dean of the Morehouse Business School.  They are both some really smart ladies!

This guy was voted by the campers as most likely to be a billionaire.

I had to take a picture at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr."s statue.  I hope to be a Morehouse Man just like him one day.

My staff (cousins) and I at the MLK, Jr. Monument.
